Hi I am a hobbyist photography saw this winter wonderland competition and thought of sharing the photos that I’ve taken during Christmas in Leeds, Sheffield and Bradford. I take photos with Sony A7 iii mirror less camera and iPhone 13 pro max. Sometimes I use my DJI Mini 2 drone but dint use it in Christmas as city center street were always crowded.
If you are following me on Instagram, you must have noticed my photos were featured several times, I guess 26 times in Dec which is a big motivation for me.
Leeds gets to be the first as I live in leeds. I really like the decorations which was done all over the city center. It was there for the entire month. I must say it was a paradise for Instagramers and photographers like me, total 22/26 insta features were from leeds
Since this is Winter Wonderland blog you can see my photos start with the first snowfall of 2021 in leeds!
It’s rare to see snow in leeds city center, mostly it snows in the outskirts due to the altitude difference. I have also shared photos from Leeds Corn exchange, there was a nice Christmas tree and some decorations, every weekend there used to be a different food outlet in the lower floor throughout December, a good business opportunities for small food joints of leeds. I had also taken some photos of Trinity shopping center and shopping arcades around Briggate street. They were beautifully decorated. My personal favorite was the reindeer at Victoria Leeds.
Now here are my Sheffield photos, couple of them were featured by Sheffield City Council as well.
I went there on one of the weekends with my friends to see the Christmas Market. We really enjoyed the mulled wine at Alpine Lodge and some delicious German sausage. I liked the kasewurst which was I guess their specialty. I dint go to the Alpine bar though but liked it’s setup, took couple of beautiful photos.
Bradford photos were featured by The Yorkshire Press on their Instagram profile.
To be honest I went to Bradford post Christmas. We went there to try out some delicious cuisine as Bradford is know to be Curry capital of UK. After having sumptuous lunch at Jinnah’s we went for some shopping at Broadway shopping center and to my surprise the Christmas decorations were still there. I must say this time my patience was tested. Considering it was a weekend it was crowded with people in mask and I had to wait for a long time to take a single shot. But I managed to take few after a long wait.
