Hi. This is Sabrina and I want to lead you to beautiful places in Japan, to show you the fascinating world of Matsuri ( traditional festivals ), to follow my encounters, arts, culture.
My first trip in 2016 was actually to meet masters of MokumeGane ( a Japanese metal technique, I’m working with), to see how they work, the studios, to breath the spirit in the country of origin of this fascinating technique.
The second journey in 2017 was about social life, meeting friends again, parties, nightlife, culture
In 2018 I visited Japan in August -Obon time, when the dead relatives and friends come to this earth for some days and return with fire and smoke to their world. I could visit Obon ceremonies and other archaic Matsuri. Dragon burning festivals, fire rain festivals-a fascinating world of beauty and meaning
The topics in 2019 were plum and Sakura blooming and festivals about springtime, beginning a new circle in life, planting ceremonies. I was lucky to see Fuji-san at sundown with Sakura blossoms on the bottom, red lanterns in the evening between the cherry trees – a big moment in my life. Just magic.
At the beginning of the Japanese year 2020 I started to Japan to visit Snow Matsuri
